Mcminn county

McMinn County is located in southeastern Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The county is home to several different types of communities, including:

1. Athens - The largest city and county seat of McMinn County, Athens is located in the central part of the county.  It is a small, but growing community with a population of approximately 14,000 people according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  The city is known for its historic downtown, which features many well-preserved buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
 

2. Etowah - A small city located in the southwestern part of the county, Etowah is known for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, including nearby Starr Mountain and the Hiwassee River.   It has a population of approximately 3,500 people according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  

3. Englewood - A small town located in the northern part of the county, Englewood is known for its historic downtown and the nearby Cherokee National Forest, which offers miles of hiking and biking trails.

4. Riceville - A small community located in the eastern part of the county, Riceville is known for its rural character and strong agricultural traditions.

5. Calhoun - A small town located in the southeastern part of the county, Calhoun is known for its historic homes and the nearby Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge, which is home to many species of birds and other wildlife.

6. Decatur is a town located in McMinn County, Tennessee. It is a small community with a population of approximately 1,600 people according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Decatur is known for its location on the Tennessee River and its beautiful natural surroundings.

Decatur is also home to several industries and businesses, including manufacturing, agriculture, and logistics. The town is served by several schools, including Meigs County High School, which is part of the Meigs County School District. Overall, Decatur is considered a friendly and welcoming community with a strong sense of community pride and involvement. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, hiking, and hunting due to its proximity to the Tennessee River and the nearby Cherokee National Forest.

Other smaller communities in McMinn County include Niota, Decatur, and Delano. The county is also home to several industrial parks and commercial areas, which provide employment opportunities for residents.
